Integrated with metal enclosure, fully pneumatic control auto-stop
The AMD is a highly efficient membrane dryer utilizing PRISM membrane separators to remove water vapor from compressed air. This air membrane dryer is designed to produce an uninterrupted supply of dry air for a variety of applications. Permeable to water vapor but not air, the AMD series can achieve pressure dew points as low as -40°C (-40°F) and ISO 8573-1 moisture classes from 2 to 6. They have no moving parts, vibration, or heat discharge and contribute only a small amount of purge air to their operating environment.
The membrane dryer is fully pneumatic control with auto start-stop function and itself requires no electrical supply or complicated installation. The innovative design offers the lowest cost, high efficiency on-demand source of compressed dry air.
The AMD Membrane Air Dryers are suitable for a wide variety of industrial plant applications as well as for commercial and laboratory applications. Multiple units can also be connected in parallel to achieve higher flow rates. For most dew point ratings, flow rates and operating pressures there’s an AMD Air Membrane Dryer that’s ideal for your application.
Typically the compressed air is first filtered with high-quality coalescing filter and activated carbon filter. These filters remove liquid water, oil and particulate from moist compressed air. The water vapor-laden air then passes through the center bore of hollow fibers in the membrane bundle. At the same time, a small portion of the dry air product is redirected along the outside surface of the fibers to sweep out the water vapor which has permeated the membrane.
The moisture-laden sweep gas is then vented to the atmosphere, and clean, dry air is supplied to the application. The drying power of the membrane is controlled by varying the compressed air flow rate and pressure. The AMD Membrane Air Dryer is designed to operate continuously, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
