Compact, reliable, without electricity needed
M Series is a hollow fiber membrane gas separator that designed for convenient point of use without the need for electrical power, M Series membrane separator utilize hollow fiber membranes to remove oxygen from compressed air. Permeable to water vapor but not air, the M series can achieve nitrogen purity from 95% to 99.5%. They have no moving parts, vibration, or heat discharge.
The M Series is available as single units or conveniently assembled with necessary pre-filtration and optional pressure regulation. These membrane separators are engineered for easy installation, operation and long-term reliability. The only maintenance required is changing the prefilter cartridge twice a year. This semi-annual maintenance takes approximately 5 minutes.
The Membrane Nitrogen Separators are suitable for a wide variety of industrial plant applications as well as for commercial and laboratory applications. Multiple units can also be connected in parallel to achieve higher flow rates. For most purity ratings, flow rates and operating pressures there’s an M-Series nitrogen separator that’s ideal for your application.
Typically the compressed air is first filtered with high-quality coalescing filter and activated carbon filter. These filters remove liquid water, oil and particulate from moist compressed air. The feed air then passes through the center bore of hollow fibers in the membrane bundle. At the same time, a small portion of the dry air product is redirected along the outside surface of the fibers to sweep out the water vapor which has permeated the membrane.
The oxygen sweep gas is then vented to the atmosphere, and clean, dry air is supplied to the application. The drying power of the membrane is controlled by varying the compressed air flow rate and pressure. The nitrogen membrane separator is designed to operate continuously, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
